We are a locally owned and operated craft beer producer Located in Lancaster, SC. Our beers are brewed in 30 barrel batches on a small farm. Our land is fortunate to have a pure well water source tapped into the water table of three known springs located on premises. This natural gift gives us great tasting pure and healthy drinking water and is the key to brewing great beers. Our beers are brewed with only natural based ingredients staying true to brewing traditions.
Bierkeller beers are exclusively German styles and contain only the four essential ingredients: malt, water, hops, and yeast. Carolina Bauernhaus Ales™ is a farmhouse brewery in Anderson, SC. Our hand crafted ales pay homage to the rich agricultural resources of Upstate South Carolina by using locally sourced malt, grains, yeast, and hops. While our brewing techniques may be Belgian inspired, our beers are by no means reverent to tradition. From Carolina Bauernhaus’ taproom and pilot system in downtown Anderson SC to our production brewery on a working farm just outside of Anderson, we will strive to create a family of unique beers that range from approachable saisons to challenging barrel aged sour beers.

Druids Cape is a dark, malty rich ale that is smooth in taste and a mouth feel that is soothing and never overly bitter or harsh. A special hybrid yeast was developed specifically for this ale. A MATCH MADE IN BEER HEAVEN
Come back with us for a moment to 1987. Dan Gordon is one of the most sought-after brewers in the country, while Dean Biersch, an experienced restaurateur and beer lover, is searching for a partner to help open a brewery restaurant. A mutual friend arranges a meeting, so they sit down, start talking beer, and the rest is history.
From the get-go, Dan and Dean had a clear vision of what they wanted: a monument to beer, where people could come drink freshly-brewed beer and have a great meal simultaneously. The only beers served would be authentic, German-style lagers and ales, brewed in the tradition of the ones Dan brewed while attending The Technical University of Munich, or the most renowned brewing school in the world. Beer would be brewed according to Reinheitsgetbot (the age-old German Purity Law of beer) with only the finest ingredients: Hallertauer hops, two-row malted barley, a special yeast strain imported directly from Germany, and water.
Cold, fresh-brewed beer and hot food. What do you know? It worked. Together Dan and Dean opened the first Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant in Palo Alto in 1988.

On October 6, 1995 the Hunter-Gatherer Brewery and Alehouse opened in Columbia, and we are celebrating our twentieth anniversary with the announcement of our second brewery location, the Curtiss-Wright Hangar at Owens Field. The Hunter-Gatherer Brewery at Owens Field will feature a taproom, a 17bbl (527 gallon) brewhouse , a bottling and kegging line, and an observation deck overlooking the airport. The Hunter-Gatherer at 900 Main Street will stay the same.

In 2015 Legal Remedy Brewing converted a vacant Rock Hill, SC auto dealership into a custom craft brewery and brewpub. Local Motive Brewing Company is excited to be opening our doors in Downtown Florence. We offer a comfortable atmosphere in which to enjoy a local brew and a simple menu. Part of the Kress Corner revitalization project, we are located at 121 and 123 North Dargan Street.
We typically offer 10 to 12 unique brews on tap as well as occasional guest taps. Brewing on a compact three barrel system, the venue has the ability to brew smaller, more specific batches and offer a variety of styles. In addition, the food selection compliments the feel and intent of our space.

Where the Saluda and Broad Rivers merge, they form the mighty Congaree in ColaTown, SC! Named for the three rivers that run through our city and the working-class men who labored on the canal here more than a century ago, River Rat Brewery was founded in 2013. The rivers tell us old stories and history of our state and our capital Columbia, SC as they were the supplying highways of times long ago. The Congaree, Broad, and Saluda rivers contribute miles of riverfront for South Carolina’s capitol and had a role in Columbia’s landscape history. In their honor, we set out to create craft beers that would satisfy anyone’s thirst after a long day’s work. We use only the best ingredients, and we tested and refined in order to develop complex flavors. What we wound up with was the best damn beer we’ve ever tasted —perfectly balanced, refreshingly bold, and deliciously drinkable. If you really want to get to know us, you need to stop in! Come out and relax in our taproom or outside on the deck as beautiful weather brings a great green space for you, your friends and a leashed dog. While riding a chairlift high atop a mountain in Pocatello, Idaho I had an epiphany: Why not start your own brewery and have free beer for life? And fifteen months later, the dream became a reality. RJ Rockers Brewing Company opened its doors in Spartanburg, South Carolina, in April 1997, on a mission to provide delicious, hand-crafted beer to the good people of the Upstate.
Originally a brewpub, Rockers quickly became the soul of downtown nightlife and served as a catalyst for the revitalization of Morgan Square. 5 1/2 years and thousands of “SpartanBurgers” later, Rockers ended Chapter 1 as a brewpub in November 2002 and began Chapter 2 with the transition to a production brewery. Over the next six years, and with a lot of help from the Sons of the Fermentation, RJ Rockers flourished throughout South Carolina and could be found at favorite watering holes and fine stores everywhere…sort of.
After maxing out capacity at our 1,200 barrel, windowless, cinder block, location, and suffering from a severe Vitamin D deficiency, Rockers made its triumphant return to Downtown Spartanburg in August 2009. The brewery now anchors the West End of Downtown Spartanburg, affectionately and appropriately known as the Grain District. We host Tours and Tasting and “Hoppy Hours” every Tuesdays – Saturdays, and with over 16,000 barrels of capacity, RJ Rockers beer can now be found throughout the Southeast on draft, in bottles and cans in fine stores everywhere, but we’re not done yet.

Owned and operated by James Deaton and Christian Gibson, Southern Hops Brewing Company is the culmination of years of restaurant experience and a dream to bring handcrafted beer, great food, and quality service to Florence, South Carolina.
James Deaton, craft brewer for SHBC, is a graduate of The American Brewers Guild of Salisbury, Vermont. The primary brews offered are Pops Pilsner- easy drinking pilsner with a malty aroma, and light Saaz Hops; Goldilocks- a lightly hopped, crisp golden ale; Leeroy Brown- a smooth, full bodied ale with a caramel aroma and dark amber in color; Rooster Red- malt forward ale highlighting tones of the grains used; Five Points IPA- easy drinking IPA with fruit and herbal hop tones, Black Water Porter- dark roasted coffee toned porter with a thick head and easy body; followed by various seasonal brews. One specialty brew will include our own hops grown in Timmonsville, S.C.

The Velo Fellow was born of fond memories and the anticipation of good times with friends and family, new and old. The haunts and watering holes we have experienced in other locales each contributed something to what we have brought together.
We pay homage to the ongoing British publick house tradition, the art and music of today and of course the foothills community of Greenville. The history of the Piedmont and foothills live on in our reclaimed woods, furniture and artifacts.

My name is Chris Baldwin and I am the owner and head brewer at Twisted Spur. I am originally from Columbia, but had an opportunity to live and travel around the West Coast after graduating from The University of South Carolina. I discovered an incredible culture centered around the beautiful art of making craft beer and pairing that beer with amazing cuisine to create an experience that is unique to that place. At Twisted Spur Brewing, we are bringing this idea and culture to South Carolina.
Pairing our incredible, one of a kind craft brews with food that stands above the rest in its quality and preparation, Twisted Spur provides you with a complete experience that embodies the spirit of our town. Although pizza was first imported to the United States by Italian immigrants during the late 19th century, it was only available in cities with large Italian populations such as New York, Boston, New Haven, Philadelphia, and Baltimore. It was not until after World War II that pizza became a popular dish in small towns across America. While occupying Italian territories, many American soldiers tasted Pizza for the first time. The returning soldiers fell in love with the saucy delight and came home with a desire for the new food that drew the pizza out of the quiet Italian neighborhoods into the main stream of city life all over the continent. Today, we celebrate the history and the taste of pizza which has become as diverse in America as Americans themselves.
We here at the Wild Ace Pizza & Pub honor and thank those soldiers who not only fought for our freedom, but also for bringing pizza to cities like ours for all to enjoy.
Wooden Skiff Beer Co. was born in December 2011, when co-founder Tayloe Cook was working for an international shipping agency in Honolulu, HI. With a 5-gallon home brewing kit, purchased from Schofield Barracks in Oahu, Tayloe brewed what would become our May River Sunset Blonde and Hilton Head’s Irish Red. We currently brew our beer in Lancaster, SC while we plan for a Lowcountry brewery home of our own!
